What makes a winner?

We don’t feel there is a blanket rule for what makes a good book or author. Reading like a lot of things is down to personal choice and preference. However we do feel that some books have helped transform our classrooms, some authors and illustrators have got ‘that’ class hooked on reading. These books deserve recognition from us, the teachers using them day in and day out, pouring over them for wonderful learning opportunities or themes that will excite debate and intrigue.

So, when your making your nominations please think about what you have used in 2018 that has had impact, recognisable, tangible, impact. What poem has lit that flame of passion amongst children that perhaps weren’t too keen on it before? You may think you are alone in loving something, you may be very wrong. Vote and see!

The important details.

Below you will find a link that takes you directly to your voting form. At the end of voting you will need to enter your QTS number. This ensures that this is a true teacher vote, giving our most loved books and authors the recognition!

You don’t have to vote in every category so simply leave blank any category that you don’t wish to nominate in.

Please ensure all nominations were published in 2018 and then sit back and wait to hear the shortlist announcement early 2019.

Thank you for voting and please do share the word!
